Cookies
Draft for approval. Last updated 20 October 2026.
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Fondly Remembered uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work. We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics or tracking, and we do not let anyone else set cookies through our site. Because of that, the law does not require us to ask for your consent, and you will not see a cookie banner.
The cookies we use
Reading notices, searching and leaving a message in a book of condolence use no cookies at all.
| Cookie | What it is for | Who gets it | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
fr_refresh | Keeps a funeral director or one of our staff signed in to their account. | Only people who sign in to the funeral director dashboard or our admin console. | Up to 30 days, or until they sign out. |
fr_apply | Keeps the answers on the funeral director and business sign-up forms if something needs correcting, so they do not have to type them again. It never holds a password. | Only someone applying to join as a funeral director or to list a business. | 10 minutes. |
The dashboard also remembers, on your own device, which funeral director you were last working on if you work for more than one. This is stored in your browser, is not sent to us, and is not used to track you.
Changing your settings
You can delete cookies or block them in your browser's settings. If you block the cookies above, you can still read notices and leave messages, but you will not be able to stay signed in to a funeral director account.
